The North of Nowhere Expo is a non-profit activist-arts festival which is committed to fostering the awareness of the arts as tools for positive social change, organized by Edmonton Small Press Agency. The North of Nowhere Expo includes:
• 8 components to an international anti-war art exhibition consisting of
over 350 prints and posters, and 14,000 peace cranes commemorating the
60th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombings
• an underground comic art exhibition (prints, paintings and comix/zines)
• 5 live music/performance cabarets (3 theme events)
• 15+ videoactive & independent film screenings
• a 2-day small press, fair trade & social justice fair
• D.I.Y. workshops & skillshares

On Saturday, October 22, 2005 over 20 cities around the world will walk in solidarity for the 'night commuters' of northern Uganda. The 2005 'GuluWalk Day' will be the culmination of the efforts of two average Canadians, Adrian Bradbury and Kieran Hayward, to raise awareness and show support for the child victims of this all but forgotten 19-yearcivil war.
